Chopper Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Fronds at Popular Southern California Coast
An aircraft hovering over a well-attended southern California beach suddenly commenced twirling uncontrollably, finally dropping height and crashing into a line of palm groves as onlookers observed.
Footage shared on the internet show the aircraft starting to spin over Huntington Beach then falling in the direction of the border of the coast, where it becomes wedged amidst palms and a steps near the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Details
Emergency responders stated five people were taken to hospital comprising a pair who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” after the incident on that day.
Three persons on the pavement were injured. Information on their injuries were not yet released.
What led to the incident was not immediately released.

Officials said the helicopter was associated with an annual “Cars and Copters” charity gathering scheduled for Sunday.
